Hi Mark
Christian my youngest came to your 1&9 coaching clinic on Saturday in Brisbane. Mate you are such a credit to the sport. You reminded me alot of Jonathan Thurston with your passion and enthusiasm. Well done to all the coaches. Chrisso was so impressed and a bit starstruck to meet you and Jake after watching you guys on TV. Our family have been hockey players for 3 generations so it is pretty huge to us. Thanks to you Jake, Madonna and Jodie for your time, really appreciate it. Thanks for making my little fellas day.
Cheers Lysa White

Both Jamie & Mark are bothpassionate hockey players and coaches. They love this great game immenselyand love to pass-on their knowledge they have gained from playing all overthe world. My name is Neil Shearer, former Coaching Director for Rockhampton& Gladstone Hockey. In 2007, 1 & 9 Coaching conducted their first clinic inRockhampton (Jamie's & Mark's hometown). All the players enjoyed thisexperience & appreciated the time both Jamie & Mark gave them and theirparents. The skills showed were world class, the drills were easilyexplained for all ages to understand & the question time was sensational.Rockhampton & Gladstone was able to have 1 & 9 Coaching come back in early2010 to show us new skills and drills which some were the same as theKookaburras use. I would not hesitate to have 1 & 9 Coaching conductingclinics within your Club or City and showing you the latest skills & drillsfrom around the world.

As parents of a budding young hockey player we appreciate the amazing access to international players of the calibre that 1&9 Coaching Clinics offer.Kids are excited to play hockey with their heroes and 1&9 offers our kids the unique opportunity to learn skills and discipline whilst genuinely engaged and completely in “sponge mode”!

1&9 are able to provide age appropriate clinics, teaching skills and keeping kids on task, whilst 'wowing' our future Aussie champions with trick shots and demonstrating outstanding skills bound to keep their interest and engagement in the sport of hockey. It’s our belief that this sort of direct access from grass-roots kids’ hockey to some of the world’s best players is exactly the shot in the arm that our sport needs. Kids need the ability to touch and feel their role models and this fantastic programme joins the dots perfectly.Thank you Jamie Dwyer and Mark Knowles for an excellent initiative and for having the desire to do this for our sport. We can’t recommend 1&9 Coaching Clinics highly enough.

A dream come true” was how many participants described the 1&9 coaching clinic in September 2013 hosted by Gawler Hockey Club. The 1&9 coaching team, which consisted of Mark Knowles, Jamie Dwyer and Eddie Ockenden, provided excellent, easy to understand training drills and skills which all players enjoyed thoroughly. As Gawler Hockey Club is not a large club, we invited over 12 clubs throughout South Australia to attend this clinic with us and final numbers were in excess of 170 participants. The 1&9 coaching team handled these numbers easily and all participants were kept very busy. These guys are not only amazing players, they are also great coaches and had a wealth of experience when it came the Q & A sessions. The coaching clinic was invaluable for not only the participants but also the clubs involved, as meeting these high profile hockey players inspired everyone to keep practicing and playing hockey. This clinic also raised the profile of Gawler Hockey Club in South Australia, which will be invaluable in recruiting more new players. The feedback from the parents and participants was overwhelmingly positive and everyone walked away with a photo and autograph as a lasting memory of the clinic. Gawler Hockey Club would not hesitate to invite the 1&9 Coaching team back for some more clinics in the future
